Costa Motor is a family-owned company built on a shared passion for Land Rover vehicles and the adventure they represent. What began as a love for classic engineering has evolved into a workshop dedicated to precision, authenticity, and timeless design.

We combine traditional techniques with modern technology to ensure every vehicle not only captures the essence of its heritage, but exceeds today's standards of performance and reliability.

02 — How we work

The process.

Four stages. One standard. Every Costa Motor Defender passes through the same path — sourced, designed, assembled, and tested before it ever meets its owner.

Base Car

Every project begins with finding the perfect base vehicle. Each Land Rover is thoroughly inspected and evaluated before being approved as a project vehicle — the ideal foundation for each restoration.

Designing

Understanding our clients' needs and aspirations is at the heart of what we do. We collaborate closely throughout the design phase to ensure every detail — from finish to functionality — reflects their vision.

Assembling

With premium materials and master craftsmanship, we bring the design to life. Each restoration spans over 600 hours, combining traditional techniques with modern precision.

Testing

When the build is complete, we carry out all required homologations and conduct 800 km of road testing. Every Costa Motor vehicle delivers the reliability, safety, and performance our clients expect.

03 — Assembly

Over six hundred hours
per vehicle.

Every element — from paint to leather, from stitching to bolts — is chosen and crafted with purpose. Each Defender is fully customisable, a build that reflects the client's style while maintaining the vehicle's authentic character.

Costa Motor was built on a shared passion for Land Rover vehicles and the adventure they represent. What began as a love for classic engineering is today a workshop dedicated to precision, authenticity, and timeless design.

Four craftsmen, one workshop in Barcelona, eight to twelve commissions a year — no more. We take on only what we can finish properly. Our clients are in fourteen countries, and every car that leaves here carries our signature plate and the name we chose together.
